The third day of the Business Tour in Ho Chi Minh City by the Japanese expert group took place in beautiful weather with many exciting activities and gathered valuable information.
Early Morning: In the morning, the expert group visited Ben Thanh Market to experience the bustling atmosphere of the local people in this iconic Saigon marketplace and to shop for unique local products.
9:00 AM:
The delegation began their visit to HUTECH University. Here, the Japanese experts were warmly welcomed by Vice Rector of the Vietnam-Japan Institute of Technology (VJIT), Mr. Hung. Everyone had the opportunity to observe a computer science class in progress and interact with Japanese-speaking students. This meeting provided an excellent opportunity to share knowledge and experiences, and the experts listened to the students’ questions and opinions regarding job opportunities and business in both Japan and Vietnam.
Lunchtime: By lunchtime, everyone had enjoyed a meal featuring the distinctive dishes of Southern Vietnam. They had the opportunity to savor traditional Vietnamese cuisine and experience its unique flavors.
1:00 PM:
After lunch, they visited the representative office of the Japanese bank in Ho Chi Minh City. Here, the expert group had discussions with the bank’s management and staff. They focused on banking services related to supporting Japanese companies and gained further insights into the business and investment climate in Vietnam, as well as how to support the development of both Vietnamese and Japanese companies.
2:00 PM:
Next, the expert group visited the office of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), an organization that promotes trade and investment between Japan and Vietnam. Here, they were introduced to the government of Japan’s programs and support policies for small and medium-sized Japanese businesses in Vietnam.
During the meeting, the experts engaged in a lively discussion about current and future investment and cooperation opportunities, as well as how Japanese businesses are received by the local community.
3:30 PM:
An information exchange session took place with the President of a Japanese accounting firm specializing in supporting Japanese businesses in Vietnam. Here, important issues regarding the legal and business regulations in Vietnam were clarified, providing the expert group with valuable insights.
6:00 PM: At the end of a day filled with sightseeing activities, they visited Ho Chi Minh City at night. They had the opportunity to explore famous tourist attractions and, especially, indulge in local cuisine. The expert group concluded a fulfilling day by enjoying the nighttime atmosphere of Ho Chi Minh City.
This Business Tour has promoted economic and cultural cooperation between Japan and Vietnam while providing the expert group with valuable knowledge and experiences.
