In an effort to accept stable human resources from Vietnam, a Southeast Asian country, Kochi Prefecture has invited a delegation from Vietnam to visit farms and factories in the prefecture.
The delegation of five officials from Vietnam’s Lam Dong Province visited Tosa Electronics, an electronic device manufacturer in Tosa City. The prefecture signed a memorandum of understanding on human resource exchange with Lam Dong Province in August of this year, and plans to promote the acceptance of Vietnamese people, focusing on farms in the prefecture. The delegation is on a three-day visit from October 18th.
On the 19th, the delegation visited a factory in Tosa City that manufactures electronic components used in generators and nuclear power plants. Tosa Electronics employs about 40 Vietnamese trainees, including affiliated companies, so the delegation also visited the trainees’ working environment to learn from them for future initiatives.
The delegation plans to visit nine companies and organizations in the prefecture until October 20th, including fruit farms, greenhouse vegetable cultivation, and flower gardening.
