On the July 14th, Shoko Chukin Bank (located in Chuo Ward, Tokyo) announced that it has obtained approval from the local financial authorities to establish a representative office in Hanoi, Vietnam. The scheduled opening is around October 2023.
In recent years, Vietnam has seen a surge in the expansion of Japanese companies, and Shoko Chukin Bank has been providing support such as financial assistance and local information for Japanese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in collaboration with partner banks, including their Ho Chi Minh branch.
With the establishment of the Hanoi representative office, the bank will position representatives in both the northern and southern regions of Vietnam, thereby further enhancing support for customers who are already operating in or planning to expand into the region. Shoko Chukin Bank will continue to actively address various needs of SMEs seeking overseas expansion.
